Meet Dr. Behnaz (Bennie) Yavari

Dr. Bennie Yavari is proud to be the female and mom orthodontist in the Atlanta area, where she combines her clinical expertise with a warm, family-centered approach to care. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Georgia State University, where she met her husband, Amir. Dr. Bennie then pursued her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Louisville, graduating with Honors in Clinical Dentistry. Following this, she completed her orthodontics residency at the Georgia School of Orthodontics in Atlanta, GA.

With over 15 years of clinical experience in both private and corporate orthodontic settings, Dr. Bennie is dedicated to delivering exceptional, personalized patient care. Her background also includes seven years as an orthodontic lead assistant, where she developed extensive skills in managing six to eight patient chairs, training teams, and overseeing practice operations to enhance productivity and growth.

Her professional expertise includes advanced techniques such as the use of an iodide laser machine, TAD placement, 3D CBCT analysis, Traditional & Lingual (Hidden) braces, Orthodontic appliances and retainers, Invisalign® aligner therapy and Teeth whitening. She is also proficient in practice management software such as Grey Finch, Cloud9, iTero, OrthoTrac, and Dolphin, ensuring smooth and efficient clinical operations.

As both a mother and an orthodontist, Dr. Bennie deeply values creating a nurturing environment where every patient feels cared for like family. She lives in Atlanta, GA, with her husband, Amir, their daughter, Artemis—whose name inspired her practice—and their beloved AussieDoodle, Tito. Dr. Bennie is passionate about serving her community in Atlanta and remains committed to advancing her skills to provide the best in modern orthodontic care.
