Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us — including your name, date of birth, mailing address, email address, mobile and home phone numbers, insurance information, and clinical information related to your orthodontic care. We also collect limited technical information (such as IP address and usage data) when you visit our website.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide and coordinate orthodontic treatment, schedule and confirm appointments, process payments and insurance claims, respond to your inquiries, and communicate with you about your care. Protected health information is used and disclosed only as permitted by HIPAA and described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
SMS/text messaging privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, you may receive appointment reminders, appointment confirmations, scheduling and rescheduling notifications, treatment updates, insurance and billing notifications, and occasional practice announcements from Artemis Smiles Orthodontics. These messages are account- and appointment-related. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your SMS consent with any third party for any purpose other than delivering the messages you asked for.
Message frequency varies based on your appointment activity (typically 2–6 messages per month). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help, or call (404) 704-0030. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or of receiving treatment.

Service providers
We use vendors to operate our practice — including our practice-management system, our appointment-messaging provider, our website host, and our payment processor. These vendors may process your information only to perform services for us, under contract, and may not use it for their own marketing. Where the vendor handles protected health information, we have a Business Associate Agreement in place as required by HIPAA. As stated above, mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are never shared with third parties.
Data retention and security
We retain patient records for the period required by Georgia law and applicable professional standards, and we maintain administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect your information.
Your rights
You may request access to, or correction of, your records; request restrictions on certain uses and disclosures; and withdraw SMS consent at any time by replying STOP or by contacting the office. Children’s privacy
